Final Roll Of Dice For Eagles Wheelchair In 2022
03/09/2022
Sheffield Eagles Wheelchair Rugby League team have a final roll of the dice in their bid to record a win in Saturday’s Championship North fixture at home to North Wales Crusaders A.
The Crusaders will visit Forge Valley School for a 2pm kick off on Saturday 3rd September and Greg Brown’s players will be giving their all to over turn the defeat by the Crusaders in the first game of the season back in March.
Brown has a full squad of ten available, including himself as a cover option, with April Brooks, Will Brooks, Chris Haynes and Jack Johnson returning to the squad following the away trip to Dundee Dragons. However he will be without David Butler who is unavailable due to work and Emma Pearson and Stephen Palin-Campbell who are recovering from injury.
The squad will be completed by Vicky Brooks, Stacey Roulson, Shaun Orton and Lottie Davis-Browne who will be looking to continue the improved performance away at Dundee into the final game.
With North Wales Crusaders’ first team in action against Hull FC in the Middle 5 competition, a title deciding game, there is a strong chance for the Eagles to capitalise on crossover players between the Welsh side’s two squads not being available. But they will not be taking anything for granted, following a narrow loss at the hands of a very similar Crusaders team in the Peacock Cup competition.
Entry is free to spectators, but spectators are advised that there is limited space available.
Eagles: April Brooks, Vicky Brooks, Will Brooks, Chris Brown, Greg Brown, Lottie Davis-Browne, Chris Haynes, Jack Johnson, Shaun Orton, Stacey Roulson.
