Eagles Wheelchair squads named for Warrington clashes!

Our Wheelchair Rugby League team is set to make its debut in the Betfred Challenge Cup this weekend with a First-Round home tie against Warrington Wolves on Sunday afternoon at Ponds Forge (12:30pm KO).
This marks a historic moment, as it will be the first-ever meeting between the Eagles and Warrington in a Wheelchair rugby setting.
Per competition rules, only eight players are allowed in the matchday squad, and those selected must not have featured in the Challenge Trophy competition held two weeks ago.
Head Coach Greg Brown has a boost with Wales international Martin Lane available for the first time, set to make his much-anticipated debut for the Eagles.
Also in contention are Stephen Reilly, Ben Simpson, Chris Haynes and Joe Wink-Simmonds, all fresh off an England training camp last weekend, bringing momentum and experience to the squad.
The main event will follow a friendly clash between the two clubs’ A teams, kicking off earlier at 10:30am, a great opportunity to see even more talent on display and build excitement ahead of the league season starting in June.
