Eagles Wheelchair in Challenge Trophy action

Sheffield Eagles Wheelchair Rugby League team return to action this weekend on Saturday 14th May with the RFL’s Challenge Trophy festival.
The Challenge Trophy, which takes place alongside the Challenge Cup festival, takes place at the University of Hull and sees a full day of action as sides battle it out for a place in the semi-finals at the end of the day, before the finals of each competition take place in June.
Five teams will contest the Trophy, with the Eagles’ Championship North rivals Mersey Storm and Dundee Dragons joining Woodland Warriors and Gravesend Dynamite for the day’s 10 fixtures. Games will be 20 minutes long on a modified pitch, with the semi-finals being played between the top four on a full sized pitch.
Head Coach Greg Brown has 8 players available for the fixture, with April Brooks, Will Brooks and Jack Johnson returning to the side after missing the Mersey Storm game, but Brown is without Ireland international Stephen Palin-Campbell, David Butler, Adam Hughes who are all unavailable for the weekend.
