Eagles to play live on BBC

Sheffield Eagles will travel to Swinton Lions on Saturday 9th March in the Betfred Challenge Cup 5th Round, with the game to be streamed live on the BBC Red Button, iPlayer and BBC Sport website at 12:30pm.
Mark Aston’s side have so far seen off Newcastle Thunder and York Knights in previous rounds of the competition and will look to go one better and book their place in the 6th Round, which could see the Eagles potentially drawn against a Super League side.
We take on fellow Betfred Championship side, Swinton Lions, who have made a similar start to the season as the Eagles, winning four games in a row in both the Challenge Cup and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup.
Their campaign in this season’s competition started by putting fifty points on the board against West Hull ARLFC, before seeing off League One side Oldham at Heywood Round in the last round live on The Sportsman.
