EAGLES TO HOST BATLEY IN CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFF ELIMINATOR

Sheffield Eagles will host Batley Bulldogs in the Betfred Championship Playoff Eliminator next Sunday, 6th September, at the MEPS International Home of Football Stadium (3pm KO).

The Eagles secured a seventh-place finish in the Championship regular-season standings and will welcome 10th-placed Batley to Dronfield for a crucial playoff clash.

The Bulldogs concluded their regular league campaign with a 16-18 defeat at home to Salford RLFC earlier today, which sets up the first meeting between the two sides in 2026.

With a place in the next stage of the Championship Playoffs at stake, the Eagles will be looking to kick off our playoff campaign strongly in front of a home crowd next Sunday.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Should the Eagles come out on top next Sunday, they will progress to the second round of the playoffs, the Betfred Championship Playoff Eliminator Final 2.

A victory would see Sheffield travel to face the lowest-ranked qualifying semi-final loser, with Barrow Raiders, Widnes Vikings and Doncaster RLFC currently in contention for that fixture.
