Eagles sign Knights full-back Marsh

Sheffield Eagles are delighted to announce the signing of York Knights full-back Matty Marsh on a two-year deal.

Marsh, who came through the ranks at Super League club Hull KR, was a popular figure at the LNER Community Stadium and scored 63 tries in 107 appearances across six seasons.

An elusive outside back, he can play all along the back-line to add variety and competition for places in what will be another strong Sheffield squad.

Discussing the signing, Eagles Director of Rugby Mark Aston commented: “Matty is someone I’ve liked for a long time, he’s got an exciting style of play which fits our game to a tee,”

“When firing fit, he is one of the best players in the division and we’re excited to see him in action in the Red and Gold.”
