Eagles capture Stanningley and Hallam RL forward Tyler Hart

Sheffield Eagles can announce the signing of Stanningley and Sheffield Hallam University forward Tyler Hart on a one-year deal.
The 19-year-old was recommended to Director of Rugby Mark Aston by former player Gavin Brown, who has links with the Stanningley club.
That recommendation from Brown saw Aston move quickly to bring Hart to the Steel City.
“We always have respect for people that have played for the Eagles before,” said Aston.
“Gavin Brown called me up and said ‘Mark, you must take this kid on’.
“Gavin was very instrumental in setting up the club’s Academy and Scholarship so he knows what I look for in a player.
“He thinks he has got massive amounts of potential and he also thinks he’ll play first team rugby in the next 12 months.
“He is a big, strong back-rower who is uncompromising and has a bit of steel about him.
“I am delighted Tyler is committed to us.”
Hart is pleased to be on board following a quick meeting with Aston, after Brown got in touch with the Eagles chief.
He will also be coming into the squad with a familiar face welcoming him.
“I am very happy to be at the Eagles,” the forward beamed.
“Gavin has seen me play from a young age and he has obviously had a word with Mark.
“I showed Mark some clips of the games I’ve played in and he was happy to bring me on.
“I know Evan Hodgson who is at the club as he used to coach me in the 18s at Stanningley.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of the lads in pre-season too.”
