Bridgeman-Reaney departs for Midlands

Sheffield Eagles can announce the departure of Mekhi Bridgeman-Reaney by mutual consent.

Bridgeman-Reaney was named on the bench in the two pre-season games against Hull FC and Doncaster at the Olympic Legacy Park but didn’t make a competitive first team appearance in Red and Gold.

The outside back has signed for Midlands Hurricanes in League 1.

Director of Rugby Mark Aston said: "Everyone at the club wishes Mekhi the best as he carries on his career elsewhere,”

“He’s got undoubted potential so he needs game-time to develop that and we’re not going to stand in his way.”
