Blake Broadbent signs three-year deal

Sheffield Eagles are thrilled to announce the re-signing of Blake Broadbent on a three-year deal.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Paul, by pulling on the Red and Gold, ‘Beans’ has been rock solid since his debut in 2018.
Enjoying a Wembley triumph a year later, Broadbent has been at the heart of the pack and his rapid progression meant the club had to act fast to tie him down to a multi-year contract.
On the re-signing, Director of Rugby Mark Aston said: “The improvement shown by Blake in such a short space of time has been brilliant but not surprising,”
“He comes from great stock and we’re pleased to have him on board for a few more years.
“He’s a regular in the side but we know he won’t rest on his laurels as he won’t just have me on his back.
“Paul comes to every game, he’s a club legend and his level of commitment to the cause when playing is something that we expect of everyone at the club, including Blake.”
Broadbent is delighted to be continuing his progression at his hometown club, adding: “I’m over the moon to be staying,”
"It’s my club and my team, it’s deep within my family roots.
“I have to place my thanks on record to Tubbs, Ged, Keith and Browny for giving me the game time.
“I’ve come through the Academy and Scholarship having been an Eagles fan so to get to pull on that shirt on a regular basis, it’s something I’ve never taken for granted.”
