Heritage Project Officer
£28,000 p.a (Pro Rata)
Employed by the Eagles Foundation, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and working closely with Sheffield Eagles Rugby League Football Club, we are looking to appoint a Heritage Project Officer.
About the role: You will implement and deliver the Eagles Foundation’s “Sheffield Eagles – the story of a Rugby League club battling against the odds” project over two years to collect, record and share the heritage of the Sheffield Eagles Rugby League Football Club in accordance with the project plan and the terms and conditions of our National Lottery Heritage Fund grant agreement.
Initially a two-year fixed term contract, this part-time, 18.75hrs (0.5) role will engage with current and former players, staff, fans, sponsors and other associates of the Sheffield Eagles club and help to prominently position the club locally to capitalize on the heightened interest in Rugby League in the city of Sheffield as a result of the Rugby League World Cup 2021 events taking place in November 2022.
About you: You be experienced in project management and ideally have experience of delivering heritage projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. You will be able to work with and manage volunteers and have experience of developing local partnership across private, public, voluntary and faith sectors. You will be able to demonstrate that you can present information to different audiences in a range of formats and will have demonstrable experience of managing and reconciling budgets.
You will need to work irregular hours to manage our project and you will possess good communication skills to engage a range of people. You’ll be passionate about sport and ideally have a keen interest in Rugby League.
