Izaac Farrell joins Keighley Cougars on loan

Izaac Farrell has joined Betfred League One side Keighley Cougars on an initial two-week loan.

The half-back has made three appearances for the Eagles so far this season, with the last of them coming off the bench in our Betfred Challenge Cup 6th Round defeat at Wigan Warriors.

Farrell also started in the halves for our cup games against Midlands Hurricanes and Newcastle Thunder, with him scoring a hat-trick and kicking nine goals against the latter.

Izaac joins a Keighley Cougars side who have started strongly in Rugby League’s third tier so far this season as they sit joint-top of the league table alongside Oldham, despite having played one more game.

Eagles Director of Rugby Mark Aston, said “It’ll give Izaac some valuable game time and a chance to be able to get back out there on the field and show people what he can do.”

Izaac could make his debut this weekend for Keighley’s top-of-the-table clash against Oldham on Sunday afternoon.
