Eagles Women to face Wigan St Patricks

Following on from a successful clash against top of the table side Swinton Lionesses, the Eagles Women look to continue their winning streak at the Olympic Legacy Park.This Sunday they face Wigan St Patricks, who are currently 6th in the league table.

The two teams last faced each other in the first game of the season, and first game ever for the Sheffield Eagles Women’s side, where the Eagles came out on top, in a physical and end to end game.

Ahead of the game, manager Hannah Whales comments:

"Wigan were our first fixture of this season and it is exciting to be facing them again. Most of the team had never played together in that first game and for many of the team it was their first game of rugby league.”

“It is great to see the progress that we have made as a team but also how much individuals within the team have improved.”

“Wigan are a well established team who we don't underestimate. We're keen to put ourselves to the test against them in front of a home crowd."
