Remember 98' is a brand new initiative aimed at reconnecting with all those fans who followed Sheffield Eagles in the past but have since lost touch.

There seem to be many reasons why some of our fans have lost touch with the club over the years. One being the obvious Shuddersfield merger! There is a feeling when you speak to people in Sheffield that they have lost touch with what Sheffield Eagles have been doing over the past decade, and the great feats that the club has achieved. When we look at the Challenge Cup final in 1998 there were close to 15,000 people traveling down to Wembley, with nearly 9,000 attending the homecoming.

Now, we want these fans who have lost touch with Sheffield Eagles through the years to tell us their favourite Eagles memories and stories, for which they will receive two free tickets to our next home game. We will put these stories and picture son our Website, Facebook and Twitter pages to show more and more fans coming back to the Eagles. So if you know someone who has lost touch with the Eagles for whatever reason, get them to tell their story and bring them along to the next game for free!!

We will also be unveiling some celebrity Remember 98' stories in the coming weeks...and no it won't be Mark Aston!
