Last Home Game of 2019 - No ticket prices, donations only!
The Eagles are pleased to announce that entry to our final league game of 2019 will be by donation only with no ticket prices provided.
We are asking that supporters donate on the day an amount they feel appropriate for the match, which is against Barrow Raiders and takes place this Sunday, 18th August, kick off 3.00pm at the Olympic Legacy Park.
The club made the decision following the club reaching the 1895 Cup Final at Wembley Stadium next week.
Speaking of the move, Eagles General Manager Liam Claffey said, "I'm pleased we've been able to confirm this offer to our loyal supporters."
"It's fantastic that we've reached the 1895 Cup Final and are heading to Wembley but the costs of tickets & travel that come with heading to the Capital coupled in with other potential costs could prove difficult for some.
"To help make it more affordable for those without memberships to do this but also to continue to watch the Eagles at the Olympic Legacy Park, we felt it appropriate to take this step and ask people attending to donate as little or as much as they like.
"Whilst we are still in with a mathematical chance of making the top 5, should we do that it's likely we would be facing away ties in the play offs so this will be our last home match of the season.
"We have limited the number of ticket offers this season, starting with the £5 ticket offer for our opener against Swinton and now ending with this promotion.
"The match against the Lions drew a fantastic crowd of nearly 1,300 almost 400 up on the corresponding 2018 fixture."
Sheffield hope everyone can join us to hopefully sign off 2019 at the Olympic Legacy Park with a victory leading into our huge day down at Wembley next week.
Tickets and Coach Travel are still on sale for our 1895 Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24th August, kick off 5.30pm.
