Johnny Woodcock 

Johnny Woodcock won the Northern Ford Premiership young player of the year award in 2002 and the hearts of Eagles fans in 2006. The club's top points scorer for the third year running, Woodcock has made the number 1 shirt his own during his time with Sheffield Eagles and is looking forward to another big season in the Co-Operative Championship.

Danny Mills

Danny Mills first signed in Nov 2003 from Casino (Australia) making his debut against Leigh Miners Rangers in the Challenge Cup 2004.
Went on loan to Salford City Reds Senior Academy in 2004 to get game time. Captain of West Indies in York 9's, MX 9's awarded MoM in final at York in 2004. Joined Doncaster 2006, but rejoined Eagles 2007. Signed for Widnes 2009 but returned on loan to Eagles after not getting in 1st team.

Yere Menzie

The try of Yere Menzie's career can only be Papua New Guinea's 74th minute try against Australia in the 2008 World Cup. The former Agmark Guiras player was named PNG Sportsman of the year and is sure to be a hit with the fans as an Eagle.

Ashley Thackeray

Former Hull FC and England U18 winger Ashley Thackeray joins Sheffield Eagles to gain first team experience. The winger who also plays Full Back has been on the verge of Super League and Mark Aston is looking forward to working with him to unlock that potential in Eagles colours.

Brendon Lindsay

The popular Aussie Stand-Off joined Sheffield Eagles in 2006 from Queensland Cup side Ipswich Jets after a nod from Andy Poynter. With NRL experience with Gold Coast Chargers, Lindsay has become a main stay of the Eagles side. Originally signing for 2 years, Lindsay is ready for a fourth season in England and another year of successes.

Aaron Groom

Fijian International Aaron Groom has been hailed by Mark Aston as the club's biggest signing in 10 years. Groom comes straight to the Eagles from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs where he made 6 first grade appearances. A world cup international, Groom comes with a formidable reputation.

Jack Howieson

Club Captain Jack Howieson has representative honours with Scotland, including a World Cup appearance in 2008. The no-nonsense prop leads from the front and the former Hemel Stags player's reputation has earned him a formidable reputation as one of the best forwards in the competition.

In May 2008 he left for Australia, when he returned from 'down under' he signed for Doncaster.

Mitch Stringer

Stringer left Don Valley at the end of 2003 to play in almost every game of London Broncos 2004 campaign. The Prop moved to Salford in 2005 before returning on loan from Salford to Sheffield in 2006 and has been an Eagles player ever since. His experience is vital to the Eagles pack. Stringer is a fans favourite, particularly at his local club Hoyland Vikings from whom he signed professionally and with local school children with whom he works as part of the club's development team.

Alex Szostak

Alex Szostak signed from Villeneuve after being named Senior Academy Players' player of the year at Bradford Bulls in 2007. The Scotland international was an excellent mid-season signing in 2008 for Mark Aston and will continue to build on his performances in 2009.

Ireland international Ged Cocoran has Super League experience with Halifax and has played for Dewsbury and Oldham as well as spending time in France with Limoux. A tough running forward, he has lots of experience for his age and was a corner stone of The Eagles pack in 2007.

Scrum Half Matty Brooks was the standout player for Oldham in 2008 according to Mark Aston and the former Bradford Bulls and Hull KR player will bring great communication and handling to the Eagles. Eddie Battye is product of local side Hillsborough Hawks and signed professional terms with the Eagles in 2008. After impressing in the Reserve Grade, Battye was given an opportunity to impress in the Eagles first team's final game of the season against Dewsbury Rams - an opportunity he seized with both hands.
